In honor of Valentines Day, I decided I would post 'lovey' things this week. *Mush Alert*
What I Love About My Husband:
I love that he is handsome. I know, I know, physical attractiveness is not the most important thing, but it was the first thing to come to mind. He's hot, gimme a break.
He is a Christian and having the Lord as a part of his life and family is important to him. Having a husband like that is important to me.
He is a good Daddy. Our daughter ADORES him. Every night when I tuck her in she says, "Tell Daddy that I hope he has a great day at work tomorrow". She says that even though she doesn't really want him to go to work.
He is "money smart". This is the standard by which I judge all other men, and no one comes close. God forbid I'm ever single and trying to find someone. This is the deal breaker. I can hand over the financial reins completely and not worry about a thing. He plans our finances two or three years ahead. He knows what we are going to do with our 2012 tax refund. If he called me RIGHT NOW and said "I just bought us a boat", I would think:
1) We are going to have fun with that
2) He got a SMOKIN' deal
3) We'll probably make some money off of it
That is just how he thinks. He pays cash for everything and if there is no cash, there is no purchase. Everything is an investment and everything is for sale. He tells himself (and me) "No" more than "yes". Don't tell him, but I like it.
He likes for me to participate in the things he enjoys. I don't always care about the latest football recruits, but it's nice that he gets excited telling me about them. He wants me to come watch football games with him. When we began dating, he wanted to take me to deer camp and let me experience a hunt with him. I liked that. Now, he still lets me come to deer camp with him even though I'm gone all day hunting. I LOVE that.
He is a "man's man". I have realized that I need that kind of guy. I want a man that can grow some hair on his face, chop some wood, kill and butcher an animal, and drive off into the sunset in a 4-wheel drive truck (with a 4wheeler in the bed). That's him. How refreshing. I don't care for guys who drive cars and if you can't even grow some stubble on your face, you don't stand a chance.
He lets me decorate. He was a little unsure about giving me decorating authority in his den, but I think he is happy with the end result. He likes all my ideas and tolerates my relentless pursuit of awesome bargains (and awesome items even if not a bargain). What a doll.
He's hot. Have I already mentioned that? Tall, dark, and handsome.
I'm sure there is more, but that is sufficient for now. I don't want his head to swell.
